Jake Atlas is a 2022 RHP/3B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Cherry Hill, NJ who attends Cherry Hill East. Long, lanky frame with some present lower half strength. Primary right-handed pitcher with a good feel for pitching and a fairly simple delivery. Repeats mechanics well with short stride down the slope, working into a three-quarters arm slot that is efficient on the backside of the arm swing. Shows ability to command both sides of the plate fairly well, sequencing his fastball/curveball mix to disrupt hitters timing. Fastball worked in the mid-to-upper 70s, topping out at 78 mph in this look with occasional cutting action to it. Curveball flashes good present spin traits with 12-6 shape to it and the potential for swing-and-miss attributes as he adds more velocity. Secondary infielder with solid fundamentals, good lower half usage and clean glove actions throughout the fielding process. Incorporates deliberate footwork to range laterally, fielding properly out in front with a clean funnel and arm strength recorded up to 77 mph across in drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from an even based stance with a mid-height hand set and toe-tap trigger. Elongated swing path with present bat speed and strength through contact. Consistent bat-to-balls skills with feel for his barrel and power potential when in sync and on time. Overall solid components with plenty of physical projection remaining and some two-way potential. Excellent Student.
