Brendan Ehle is a 2019 RHP/2B with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Cumming, GA who attends Pinecrest Academy. Medium frame with a lean build and wiry strength. Primary right handed pitcher who worked exclusively from the stretch. Medium leg lift to gather and works to the plate with drop and drive lower half actions. Lands in line with the plate and carries momentum to finish well. Medium arm circle at separation and released from a compact three-quarters arm slot. Fastball had slight downhill tilt to the plate and flashed some feel for the outside edge, topped at 71 miles per hour. Curveball had 11/5 shape with loose spin and occasional depth i the low 60's. Looked to fill the zone and induce contact early in counts. Consistently created soft contact that produced quick innings. Also worked out defensively from infield showing aggressive footwork while closing to and rounding the baseball. Clean glove actions while a deeper funnel, works through exchange with smooth paced actions. Compact take back and released from a three-quarters arm slot. Produced softer on line carry to the bag topping at 70 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a slightly crouched, even stance and sweeping front side trigger. Tends to work to a taller front side position at contact. Loose path to contact with a level, line drive barrel plane through extension. Keeps swing very simple and looks to connect with baseball out front. Primarily utilized a mid field approach throughout batting practice producing line drive, ground ball contact between the gaps. Excellent student.
