Adam Katz is a 2023 1B/RHP, OF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Bellaire, TX who attends Episcopal. Recorded a 6.89 second 60 yard dash time, showcasing good speed. Lanky build with room to fill. Primary first baseman with a deep funnel and long arm action. Fields it far back in his stance, huge arm strength, developing actions and glove work. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a short arm circle, comes from an over the top slot. Fastball has some natural cut to it, locates it well in the zone. Generated plenty of swings and misses to RHH with the fastball on the outer half of the plate. Shows a curveball with 11-5 shape and late sweeping action. Also worked out in the outfield, passive approach with choppy feet. Arm works very well, quick transfer and release with carry. Left-handed hitter with an open stance and even hand set. Has definite bat speed and hand quickness, finds the barrel with lift at contact. Heavy and stiff hands with some pop, easy and quick hips. Excellent student. Exciting young prospect with big arm strength and speed.
