Branden Harder is a 2018 2B/SS with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Nevada, MO who attends Nevada HS. Small frame, small build. Room for additional size with strength. Switch hitter, but only hit from the right side at this event. At the plate shows a straight, balanced stance with a deep hand load. Tends to close off front side slight at stride. Quick, compact swing path with rotational mechanics to contact. Swing hard and with intent to drive the baseball with a mid-field approach. Consistent barrel path with hand quickness that generates solid line drive, ground ball contact. Worked out defensively from the infield. Shows solid glove skills and footwork with range to both sides. Threw from a compact arm action with a clean release, topping at 77 mph across the infield. Quick, easy actions throughout. Tools project well for second base. Excellent student as well.
