James Richey is a 2016 C/MIF with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Galena Park HS. Young look with plenty of room to fill out as he matures physically and puts on additional muscle. Posted a 7.40 60 yard dash. From behind the plate, gains ground toward target with quick footwork. Developing arm strength with accurate throws down to second base. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with a wide base, squared stance, and a high hand set. Swing is on plane and consistently finds barrels. Looks to generate lift and separation. Repeats mechanics well. Will see even more hard barrels with additional strength. Good student.
