Montel Jones is a 2016 OF with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Van Nuys, CA who attends Raytown HS. Outstanding athletic build, strong with lots of fast twitch actions. 6.74 runner, moves very well in the outfield, runs good routes and gets jumps on the ball, makes accurate throws but has more raw arm strength in there with some throwing mechanics adjustments. Right handed hitter, low hand start, very limited weight shift and lower half use, still has very quick hands and good bat speed, can be more aggressive looking to drive the ball and looks as if he is thinking mechanics over bat speed. High ceiling athlete who should keep improving as he plays more.
