Jackson Brown is a 2018 RHP/3B with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Oconomowoc, WI who attends Oconomowoc HS. Nice young athletic pitcher's build, projects well physically. Low hand delivery, simple mechanics with few variables, compact arm action in back hides the ball well, 3/4's to mid 3/4's arm slot, stuff tends to be better from the lower slots, bit cross body on release, throws from the far first base side of the rubber and would benefit from moving across the rubber to create better angle to the plate, arm is loose and quick coming through. Fastball topped out at 84 mph, gets good sinking and running life at times, low effort release and mechanics makes his fastball look a bit firmer. Change up was his best secondary pitch this outing, gets good sinking action with solid arm speed. Breaking ball gets slurvy at times, might be best with a power slider in the future. Right handed hitter, has hitting tools to develop, compact path to contact with good strength and some bat speed, ball comes off the barrel hard, mid field to right centerfield approach and can get up the gap. Good overall athlete who should keep improving. Very good student.
