Trey McDaniel is a 2017 RHP/SS with a 5-11 192 lb. frame from Williamsville, MO who attends Greenville. Medium-Large frame with good build and strength throughout. Primary pitcher, showed smooth delivery with online direction to the plate, short leg lift into delivery, up-tempo delivery, shorter and quick arm action that works well to mid three quarters arm slot. Fastball worked 84-86 and topped at 87 MPH with riding life to the arm side. Has full complement of secondary pitches. SL showed right rotation and sweeping 9/4 shape with depth and tilt; CB showed similar shape as slider but with more depth and lesser velocity. CH has some fade with depth; maintained FB arm speed well. Can throw all 4 pitches for strikes with effectiveness. Hits from crouched and hunched forward stance, pull-field approach with line drive swing plane and solid strength off the barrel. Can square it consistently. Stays down on the ball well in the IF, gathers well after fielding and shows solid downhill accuracy across the diamond with IF velo up to 81 MPH.
