Brian Gursky is a 2017 LHP with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Granger, IN who attends St Joseph Catholic HS. Solid athletic build with good present strength and some future projection. Slow paced delivery, high 3/4's arm slot, close to over the top, high arm circle from a long arm stroke, gets good plane to the plate, can use his lower half better to help generate velocity. Upper 80's fastball, has some heaviness down in the zone and to the arm side. Maintains good arm speed on his change up. Throws both a curveball and a slider and shows an idea of how to mix his pitches when he's working ahead. Good student, verbal commitment to Southern California.
