Alfredo Caraballo is a 2018 LHP/1B with a 6-4 200 lb. frame from Montverde , FL who attends Montverde Academy. Large frame with projectable, athletic build. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.39 seconds. Primary left-handed pitcher, good rhythm and tempo to delivery with fluidity, loose arm stroke with compact action through the back, throws from high three quarters slot with good plane to the plate. Fastball worked 81-83 MPH with sink and arm side run. Shows good curveball with 1/7 shape and firm, biting break. Pounded the zone. Sets up to hit from upright, even-based stance; shows good shift into contact and naturally lofted swing plane. Gets on plane on time and has jump off the barrel when square. Showed well at 1st base, loose athletic actions with quality footwork, easiness to movements, very strong arm for position, clocked up to 85 MPH. Good student.
