Christopher Hoffmann is a 2020 1B/RHP, 3B, OF with a 6-5 200 lb. frame from Cincinnati, OH who attends Roger Bacon. Tall and lanky frame with plenty of room to fill. Ran a 7.15 second 60 yard dash. Primary first baseman, moves well to the ball getting in an athletic position to throw, fields the ball out in front, short arm action into throws with a longer release and glove pump, average arm strength topping out at 82 mph from first base. Secondary righthanded pitcher, short rocker step into a leg lift to his belt line, short arm action up to a high 3/4 arm slot, deliberate delivery with multiple short pauses mixed in. Fastball flashed some short cut at times and topped out at 82 mph, mixed in a cutter to accompany the fastball that topped out at 77 mph, also mixed in a curveball in the low-70s, pounded the zone during appearance getting weak contact. Also took reps in the infield, showed similar smooth actions as at first base moving to the ball well, similar longer release with average arm strength, should work on getting rid of the baseball quicker at times when needed. Righthanded hitter, takes a big stride into contact, showcased looseness to hands with the ability to turn the barrel over with authority, has some bat speed present and the ball comes off of the barrel well when on time.
