Julius Scearce is a 2021 SS/MIF with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Lexington, KY who attends Frederick Douglass. Broad shouldered athletic build with some present strength and room for plenty more. Left handed hitter, hits from a tall, open stance with a very sound and consistent swing and timing, has bat speed and can impact the ball, excellent contact skills and squared the ball up almost every swing for two days, including going 4-4 on Sunday, really projects as a hitter as he gets stronger. Very good runner, 6.60 in the sixty. Shows good athleticism in the middle of the infield and moves well laterally with good hands, has second base arm strength at present, can also see him playing some centerfield in the future. Left handed bat is his tool. Good student, verbal commitment to Kentucky. Named to the Sunshine Showcase Top Prospect List.
