Carson Rollins is a 2018 LHP/1B with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Katy, TX who attends Obra D. Tompkins HS. Rollins has a medium sized frame with a lean build. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a short arm action. Rollins has some arm speed and hides the ball well. He has a balanced delivery with some explosion in his delivery. He has a directional delivery and repeats his delivery well. Rollins gets some sink on his fastball and locates it well. He throws a 1/7 curveball with some shape to it with developing spin. Rollins also throws a change up with some sink on it and he maintains arm speed well on it. Defensively he showed solid actions and athleticism both in the outfield and at 1B. He showed solid footwork with good arm strength up to 84 MPH from the outfield. At the plate, Rollins has a deeper hand set with a rotational swing and developing hitting tools. Very good student.
