Cameron Thompson is a 2019 1B/RHP, 3B, OF with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Owasso, OK who attends Owasso HS. Large frame with long limbs and broad shoulders; present physicality and room to add more. Primary first baseman with athletic actions and a clean glove. Solid arm strength from the position and turned well. Graded out best on the mound with a short arm action and compact delivery. Attacks hitters and fills up the zone. Works both sides of the plate with solid pitchability and mixes speeds well. Over the top arm slot with a big breaking curveball. Changeup was a weapon against hitters of opposite handedness. Balanced and even stance at the plate with a high hand set and high back elbow. Short stride and quick trigger into swing. Flashed a linear lower half and worked through the baseball. Extends well and the ball jumped off the bat well with carry. Named to the 2017 South Underclass Showcase Top Prospect List. Outstanding student.
