2017 PG Fall Top Prospect National Showcase
Brett Jackson is a 2018 RHP/ with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Abbotsford, BC who attends Yale Secondary HS. Recorded a 7.79 second 60-yard dash time. Lean and athletic build with long limbs and projects well physically. Primary righthanded pitcher with a compact delivery that incorporates few moving parts. Big rocker step with a leg lift waist high. Gathers well at the balance point and stays tall on the backside. Good line and direction toward the plate and lands online. Clears hips and lower half well while getting good push off the rubber. Extended three-quarters arm slot and has good life through the zone on the fastball that topped out at 87 mph. Good command of the pitch and not afraid to challenge over the inner half. Curveball has good depth and 10/5 action. Good feel for the pitch and stays on top. Mixes pitches well and keeps hitters off balance. Good feel for the changeup out in front of the body with fading action and some depth. Named to the 2017 PG Fall Top Prospect National Showcase Top Prospect List. Verbal commitment to Young Harris College. Great student.
