Alex Kubishin is a 2020 RHP/MIF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Drums, PA who attends Marian Catholic High School. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with long limbs and room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.39 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, shows balance through windup with deliberate tempo, high leg kick before driving of back side well down the mound. Full arm swing through the back and gets on top of the ball well from a mid three-quarters release point; generates downhill plane on fastball and topped out at 77 mph, mostly true in life with occasional running life. Curveball shows 11-5 shape with tight spin and bite from similar arm action and release, able to use as out pitch. Filled zone and worked both sides of plate; smooth delivery and projects well moving forward. Shows body control in the infield and moves well to the ball while showing range, extra step moving into release with solid arm strength and carry across the diamond. Righthanded hitter, begins with a square stance and utilizes a contact approach in the box. Generates quickness with barrel through the zone, occasionally gets mistimed with triggers, strength will continue to develop. Very good student.
