Jaden Woods is a 2020 LHP/OF with a 6-2 178 lb. frame from Warner Robins, GA who attends Houston County HS. Tall and athletic frame with plenty of more room to project on moving forward. Ran an event best 6.64 second 60 yard dash. Primary lefthanded pitcher, begins delivery with a small rocker step up to a high leg lift, drives down the mound with tempo and a crossfire delivery to the plate, quick and loose arm action at take back up to a high 3/4 arm slot, ball jumps out of hand, keeps solid drive line to the plate and fills up the strike zone. Fastball has slight armside run to the offering and topped out at 86 mph, slider comes from a similar tunnel as the fastball with late bite in the mid-70s. Secondary outfielder, sits back on the baseball with developing actions, plenty of arm strength that plays well from the outfield, topped out at 92 mph from the outfield with more in the tank with improvement of his footwork and momentum to target. Lefthanded hitter, moves into the swing well, good strength to his swing with more to come with proper projection, flashed pop to both gaps during round creating some jump as well. Good student. Named to 2018 Fall Southeast Showcase Top Prospect List. Verbal commitment to Georgia State University.
