Colin Macko is a 2018 OF/RHP, 1B with a 6-4 195 lb. frame from Mountain Top, PA who attends Crestwood. Large frame with long limbs, broad shoulder and wiry strength. Frame projects to support additional size with strength. Ran a 6.92 sixty-yard dash. Primary outfielder with smooth paced, deliberate footwork while closing to the baseball. Clean glove actions while working through the baseball with smooth paced, fluid exchanges. Deep arm stab at separation and released from a three-quarters arm slot producing accurate throws with solid carry, topped at 86 miles per hour. Also worked out defensively from first base utilizing athletic actions while ranging for the baseball and centering. Clean funnels out front with efficient exchanges through transition. Topped at 83 miles per hour from a three-quarters arm slot producing accurate carry. Left handed hitter with an upright, even stance and high back elbow set. Shifts into contact well with linear lower half actions. Direct line drive path to contact with a slightly leveraged plane through extension. Present bat speed and strength at contact and consistently produced hard, loud contact with solid carry to the gaps. Also pitched working exclusively from the stretch. Smooth paced medium leg lift to gather. Stays slightly flexed on back side and works to the plate with drop and drive actions. Created slight front side swing while working to the plate and lands at a closed front side position. Carries momentum to the plate well while releasing from a three-quarters arm slot. Fastball jumped out of hand well showing solid downward angle through the zone with run to arm side in the low 80's, topped at 84 miles per hour. Curveball had 11/5 shape with tight spin and late depth in the upper 60's. Also flashed a changeup offering that had a similar arm action and slot as fastball offering, proved to be deceptive for hitter to identify. Good student.
