Brady Choban is a 2018 1B/3B, RHP with a 6-4 180 lb. frame from Monument, CO who attends Lewis-Palmer. Large frame with long limbs and a lean, athletic build. Projects for additional strength while maintaining athleticism. Ran a 6.97 sixty-yard dash. Primary first baseman who worked out from the infield as well. Centers the baseball with smooth paced, deliberate footwork. Clean glove actions while funneling the baseball out front and works through transfer well. Released from a high three-quarters arm slot producing on line carry across the infield. Right handed hitter with an upright, even stance and simple leg lift trigger. Hands launch on an inside path to contact with a line drive barrel plane through extension. Primarily worked to the middle of the field between the gaps with present bat speed and strength at contact. Ball jumped of barrel well when on time and squared. Also pitched showing a live, loose arm action from a three-quarters slot. Created good separation at take back and utilizes lower half while driving to the plate. Fastball had heavy life through the zone with slight running action to arm side in the low to mid 80's, topped at 85 miles per hour. Flashed two planes with breaking ball, having good feel for each, with the ability to maintain arm speed. Also flashed a changeup offering that had some fading action in the mid 70's. Very good student. Named to the 2017 Rocky Mountain Showcase Top Prospect List.
