Cooper Kelly is a 2022 SS/RHP with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Overland Park, KS who attends Blue Valley Southwest. Solid athletic build with good present strength for his age and plenty more to come. Switch-hitter, hits from a similar load and approach from both sides of the plate, tall and narrow to start with a nice quiet load, bit more rotational with more lift from the left side and a bit better raw bat speed and barrel control from the right side but definitely has the chance to develop as a true switch-hitter. 7.50 runner in the sixty. Showed very good athleticism in the infield with mature footwork and overall actions, moved through the ball very well, plays with confidence defensively, good arm strength and made very accurate throws due to his fundamental footwork. Also pitched and has a chance on the mound. Has a clean delivery with good direction and pace down the mound, long and clean arm action to a 3/4's arm slot, repeats his mechanics well. Fastball topped out at 83 mph with nice running action, got inside to right handed hitter consistently. Showed nice feel for a low 70's change up with fading action as well as a big breaking curveball. Very good overall athlete who will keep improving, Excellent student. Named to the National Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
