Mason Langdon is a 2021 LHP/OF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Shreveport, LA who attends C.E. Byrd. Medium frame with a slender, athletic build with room to add. Ran a 6.88 second 60-yard dash. Primary lefthanded pitcher with a side step delivery into a belt high leg lift. Stays online down the mound utilizing drop and drive actions. Long arm action in the back and into a three-quarter arm slot. Creates some run to the arm side on the fastball topping out at 83 MPH. Developing feel for the curveball that continued to improve through outing. Also worked out defensively as a secondary outfielder. Deliberate and controlled close to the baseball. Fields out in front and into a long arm action in the back from exchange. Accurate to the bag with slight carry in at 80 MPH. Righthanded hitter with a hanging load into weight transfers. Swings the bat with intent and looks to utilize strength. Stays in the middle of the field with occasional lift at contact. Excellent student as well. Named to the 2019 South Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
