Andrew Hedgecorth is a 2023 SS/RHP, C, 2B, OF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Smithville, MO who attends Smithville. He has a medium frame with an average build and shows good athleticism. Ran the sixty yard dash in 7.16 seconds. Primary shortstop that has clean fundamentals and does a nice job of moving to both sides of his body. He has quick feet and soft hands, allowing him to get to the ball quickly and field it cleanly. He is in rhythm throughout the entire process. He throws with a short arm action and creates good carry on this throws. He starts in an even stance at the plate and is slightly squatty. He uses a small lift and replace trigger for timing. He has quick hands and swings down on the ball. Utilizing his lower half more will allow him to create more pop off the bat than he already does. He shows the ability to create carry on his line drives when he makes contact out in front of the plate. Excellent student.
