Matthew Ande is a 2019 RHP/3B with a 5-10 148 lb. frame from Bartlett, IL who attends Bartlett HS. Slender young build, lots of room to get stronger. Closed landing in his delivery creates a crossfire look from a 3/4's arm slot, spins off his front leg to the first base side, uptempo delivery, deep arm action in back causes his arm to be late at time and his fastball to miss up arm side. Upper 70's fastball, topped out at 80 mph, gets good running life at times when his delivery is on time, has some arm speed and can improve his fastball with adjustments. Tends to cut off his curveball out front due to his delivery, softer spin. 7.21 runner, has clean actions in the infield and makes accurate throws. Right handed hitter, slightly spread stance with a stride into contact, backside hitter with a slight uppercut, long and loose swing. Very good student.
