Tanner Black is a 2019 OF/RHP with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Omaha, NE who attends Elkhorn South HS. Medium athletic build with some present strength and more to come. 7.02 runner, has very sound fundamentals in the outfield, smooth and balanced through the ball with good direction and footwork, on-line accurate throws with good carry. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide base with a high back elbow, tends to stay on his backside in his swing, uphill swing plane, has some developing bat speed and a middle of the field approach. Also pitched, leg lift delivery with some back side collapse, long stride out front tends to leave his arm behind. Upper 70's fastball, mostly straight, gets some spin on his curveball but cups it in back and hitters can see it. Very good student.
