Augie Schieler is a 2021 RHP/OF with a 5-9 130 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends San Marcos. Primary pitcher with a long and lanky frame. Drops the back knee and drives down the mound toward the plate well at the top of the leg lift. Schieler works at a slow and deliberate pace out of both the windup and stretch, uses a straight over the top arms slot. Fastball sits from 72-to-75, topping out at 76 miles per hour. Shows some feel for a curveball and changeup, at 67 an 69 miles per hour respectively. Secondary outfielder, approaches the ball well along with some other athletic actions that allow him to work toward home plate on his throws. At the plate, Schieler works from a slightly crouched and even stance, with a large leg lift trigger and rotational lower half. Stays behind the baseball, sitting on the back side. Coils hands slightly and uses a middle of the field to pull side approach.
