Billy Wall is a 2020 LHP/1B with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Arvada, CO who attends Ralston Valley Senior. Medium frame with a lean build and beginnings of strength. Primary left handed pitcher with a repeatable inline delivery. Stays balanced and slightly close at gather prior to work to the plate. Clean arm circle at take back and released from a three-quarters slot. Fastball flashed some sinking action with slight cut in the mid to upper 70's, topped at 78 miles per hour. Showed tight spin with a 1/7 breaking ball that flashed good depth in the mid 60's. Displayed some feel for the bottom quadrants of the strike zone and continuously challenged hitters with both fastball and breaking ball. Also worked out defensively from first base showing clean footwork with fluid glove actions while funneling. Quick released and created accurate carry to both bags, topped at 77 miles per hour. Left handed hitter with an even, upright stance and compact front side stride. Works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Looked to turn the barrel to contact and generated solid bat speed with a line drive plane. Ball jumped off the barrel well when squared and primarily worked to the middle of the field and pull side. Excellent student as well.
