Fisher Canaday is a 2023 1B/RHP/IF with a 6-5 225 lb. frame from Wake Forest, NC who attends Wake Forest. Extra big and strong athletic build. Right handed hitter, hits from an open stance with an easy load and a loose, tension free swing, has strong hands and the present ability to get the ball to jump hard, shows natural pull and lift in his swing approach, has a ceiling as a hitter with continued repetitions and development. 7.59 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman who has a good idea of footwork and fundamentals at first base along with a strong arm. Also pitched, big side step start, tends to loose his front side early and fall off, long and fluid arm action. Fastball topped out at 83 mph, mostly straight and usually low in the zone, also worked in a developing curveball. Has some potential on the mound with better direction to the plate. Good student.
