Giancarlos Garcia is a 2022 SS/2B with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Patillas, PR who attends Albergue Olímpico Baseball Academy. Medium frame with a lean build and plenty of room to fill out. Ran a 7.20 second 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, shows athleticism to his movements with good range and quickness to his exchanges; shows sound actions receiving the ball with good balance through it and both accuracy and carry on his throws across the diamond. Righthanded hitter, sets up even and slightly open; deploys an all-fields approach with good timing and hand-eye coordination but needs strength additions to improve impact off the barrel.
