Walker Stallworth is a 2021 RHP/1B/OF with a 6-0 178 lb. frame from Troy, AL who attends Charles Henderson HS. Athletic build with wiry strength. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary right handed pitcher with a smooth paced side step to medium leg lift delivery. Stays tall on back side at gather and works to the plate with drop and drive actions. Hides baseball well at take back and released from a high three-quarters arm slot. Fastball produced good downhill plane through the zone with occasional run to arm side in the upper 70's, topped at 79 miles per hour. Displayed good feel for fastball and consistently worked to the bottom quadrants of the strike zone. Curveball showed 11/5 shape with tight spin and good depth. Showed the present feel for breaking ball to deliver for strikes in both positive and negative counts. Maintained arm speed well with a changeup offering in the upper 60's. Also worked out defensively from first base and the outfield. From first base showing clean glove actions while funneling out front. Moved to each side well and created accurate carry across the infield at 78 miles per hour. From the outfield utilized clean footwork while closing to and working through the baseball. Worked through pick up with fluidity and created accurate, on line carry to the bag at 82 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, open stance and large leg lift trigger. Generated good linear shift into contact with lower half. Compact hand path to baseball with a slightly lifted barrel plane through extension. Showed present bat speed through the zone with good strength at contact when squared. Primarily looked to work to the middle of the field but flashed the hand speed to turn the barrel and work to pull side with aggression as well. Excellent student.
