Payton Pudenz is a 2023 RHP/UT with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Mesa, AZ who attends Red Mountain. Medium build with a slender and young look. Slow paced delivery with a high leg lift start, will vary his timing and lift to create deception, compact high elbow takeaway in back, has a quick arm and works downhill well. Fastball topped out at 87 mph with late running life, was effective working his fastball up in the zone. Big breaking curveball that he has feel for, changes the eye level and bat speed of hitters when mixed with his fastball. Has athleticism and body control and tons of projection, just a matter of getting stronger. Good student.
