Tommy Bayles is a 2021 1B/RHP with a 6-4 220 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Cathedral Catholic. Large build with meticulous actions at first base. Funnels out in front and is accurate to second base even when spinning. Fields low with a wide base as well. On the mound, has a mid leg lift with a shorter arm action from an over the top slot. Leans over with his upper half at leg lift. Fastball sits around 77-81 mph and compliments the pitch well with a large shaped 12-to-6 curveball. Actions on the curve are still developing. Mixes in a 67 mph changeup as well. Fills up the zone well and was efficient in his outing. Uses a wide base with an overall quiet load at the plate. Barrel creates loud noises despite developing hip actions. Possesses raw natural strength. Line drive barrel plane creates consistent back spin, strong hands produce solid pop.
