Brian Cadieux is a 2024 3B/RHP/SS with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Merrick, NY who attends Kellenberg Memorial. Recorded a 5.15 forty-yard dash time. Long, lean frame with plenty of room and time to fill out. Primary infielder with quick, athletic actions throughout the fielding process; exhibits fundamentally sound footwork to range laterally, funneling out in front while working into a quick release. Displayed ability to work downhill through the baseball, changing directions with some athleticism and showing the ability to throw from multiple arm angles. Recorded developing arm strength up to 76 mph across the diamond. Secondary right-handed pitcher, full windup delivery with small side-step rocker into a belt high leg lift and tall to fall lower half mechanics down the slope. Fastball worked in the mid-to-upper 70s for the most part, topping out at 78 mph from a high three-quarters arm slot. Developing command of the strike zone with some inconsistencies in his release point, will continue to improve with minor refinements mechanically and additional strength. Mixed in curveball that flashed loose spin traits and potential as a secondary offering in the future. Right-handed hitter that hits from a a crouched, slightly closed stance with tight hand set, high back elbow and small leg lift trigger. Incorporates deep hand load and slight drift forward to get to launch. Developing bat-to-ball skills with some quickness to his hands and flatter swing path. Mostly pull-side impact due to lower half drift and rotational lower half, will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Excellent Student.
