Brooks Byers is a 2021 RHP/OF with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Port Orange, FL who attends Spruce Creek. Medium to Large frame with broad shoulders and strong legs. Ran a 7.70 second sixty yard dash. Primary Righthanded Pitcher, working with a quick toe tap and lift to the belt. Fast arm with a whippy look as he showed fluid, easy mechanics. Drives with the lower half well as he finished downhill. Good feel for both sides of the plate and does a good job with in at-bat adjustments. Changed eye levels and got plenty of swings and misses. Fastball was up to 87 MPH as he mixed in a quick slider as well. Fields his position well. Pitchability showing as he had full confidence in his stuff on the mound. Righthanded Hitter, upright stance with as he sets his hands early. Steep plane as he looks to throw hands at the baseball. Looks to pull the baseball at times. Good Student. Named to National Underclass Main Event Top Prospect List.
