Ashton Michek is a 2022 LHP/1B with a 6-2 155 lb. frame from Bangor, WI who attends Bangor. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, lean and projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.21 60-yard dash. Primary lefthanded pitcher, side step moving into balance point, lands slightly closed with stride foot but creates extension out front. Long and loose arm action working to a three-quarters release point, slight effort at release, fastball topped out at 81 mph. Fastball comes out clean and shows late life, creates plane to bottom of the zone. Curveball worked up to 66 mph, sweeping 1-7 shape with develop command of the pitch. Nice upside on the mound. Accurate throws from first base with a quick release, short steps off the bag, shows carry on throws across. Lefthanded hitter, begins with a tall and narrow stance with a high hand set at the plate. Timing components to load and swing, works the middle and pull side parts of the field with comfort and employs a contact oriented approach while showing quickness to his hands. Excellent student.
