Samuel Alonso is a 2025 RHP/1B, OF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Terra Environmental Research Institute. Recorded a 7.76 second 60-yard dash time. Athletic frame with some wiry strength and room for projection. Primary right-handed pitcher with a big rocker step into a leg lift above the belt. Slight lean over the rubber with a longer arm stroke with whip and separation. Athletic operation overall with looseness. Fastball worked in the mid-80s up to 86 with good life. Can miss bats with the fastball and showed both a curveball and a slider. Really nice feel for the changeup too and has multiple weapons to attack hitters. Arm strength plays from secondary position of the outfield. Right-handed hitter with a high hand set, high back elbow, and fluidity to the bat head. Turns the swing over and separates well. Smooth barrel plane with a good combination of hit and power. Excellent student. Named to the Fall TP National TP List.
