Calvin Gregory is a 2025 LHP/1B/OF with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Lake Oswego, OR who attends Lakeridge. Medium young build with lots of time and room to get stronger. Tall and fall mechanics on the mound, gets down the mound well, long and loose arm action from a high 3/4's arm slot, low effort release, repeats his mechanics well. Fastball topped out at 80 mph with good arm side running action at times. Slurve type breaking ball varied between curveball and slider shape, best when he's getting on top of it at 64 mph, slows his arm occasionally on breaking ball. Better arm speed on his change up with some fading action. Good overall mechanics and strike throwing ability to go with multiple pitches, projects well moving forward. 7.97 runner in the sixty. Plays the outfield when not on the mound. Left handed hitter, hits from an open narrow stance, inconsistent lower half actions getting into his swing, line drive swing plane, hits to all fields with occasional pull side jump. Very good student.
