Ryan Cathey is a 2023 OF/C with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Loveland, OH who attends Loveland. Tall and high waisted frame that looks the part. Ran a 7.18 in the sixty yard dash. A primary catcher, comfort in the set up and bounces out with good anticipation. Whippy arm that produces low and on line throws. Popped a 1.96 during drills. A secondary outfielder, rounds the ball with confidence and keeps the momentum through the ball. The arm strength projects to play in any outfield spot. A right-handed hitter, uses the core well with strong rotation. Keeps the hands behind the ball and stays inside. All fields approach with some strength in the hands that should play in game. Good student.
