2022 WWBA West Workout Showcase (July 15)
Benjamin Richards is a 2023 SS/RHP with a 5-11 145 lb. frame from Phoenix, AZ who attends Paradise Valley. Features a tall, slender build with athleticism present. Very good runner. Ran a 6.59 60-yard dash. Primary infielder. Displayed quick feet with the ability to cover ground both ways. Caught the ball clean with hand working through hops well. Transfers quickly into strong throws across. Threw 80 mph during workouts. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes an even stance with a slightly wider base. Uses a simple heel raise load. Swing on a direct path with bat speed present. Approach stays through the middle of the field. Has some feel for the barrel present. Power should only continue to get better as the frame adds more strength. Good student. Named to the WWBA West Workout Top Prospect List.
