Owen Muench is a 2023 C/2B/OF with a 5-10 148 lb. frame from Simi Valley, CA who attends Royal. Medium frame with a lean build and plenty of room to fill out. Ran a 7.54 second 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, sets up slightly high in his stance but gets out of the crouch athletically, shows a strong wrist receiving the ball, maintains a good line to his release with a slightly longer transfer but a good arm that produces carry on accurate throws. Also worked out in the outfield, shows an athletic first step and good momentum through receiving the ball while generating very accurate throws with some carry to bags. Right-handed hitter, sets up even in his stance and uses a simple trigger for timing; works consistently on a longer level swing path producing line drives to the middle of the field while showing an occasional ability to lift to either gap. Solid foundation of tools to build on. Great student.
