Colin Linteo is a 2024 SS/RHP, MIF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Danville, CA who attends San Ramon Valley. Medium frame, long, lean, and athletically built; space for quick leaps in strength. 7.47 60-yd. Showed skills as an infielder and pitcher with upside available on the tools. In the infield, used strong lateral movements to create advanced range and strong footwork through the baseball. The glove was soft and played in time with the body. During games, he made multiple plays showing the tools to stick at shortstop long-term. Offensively it's a balanced stance with the ability to stay tight on the swing using his loose hands to line balls around the middle of the field. Was better when he worked behind the ball on his timing. As a pitcher, there is major upside. The hands start at the waist and the hips stay online with a small turn of the torso on an average front knee. Quick rhythm and balance as he works down the hill with separation occurring down the hill. Live arm with compact 3/4 release and easily repeated. Controlled the frame well with limited effort down suggesting more as he keeps maturing. Fastball was live in the zone with angle used on both sides of the plate. The curveball had small depth with short overhand actions; times where he slowed the arm. Adding a change-up would be a strong option to be a starting pitcher in the future. Should be a high follow quickly.
