Jaziel Concepcion is a 2029 C/RHP with a 5-6 130 lb. frame from Lehigh, FL who attends Riverdale. Medium, square shouldered frame with some present strength and additional room to grow and develop moving forward. Ran a 9.32 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, lower set up behind the plate, receives the ball out front, shows quickness to transfer, short stride coming out of crouch and can continue to refine footwork, arm strength will keep developing on throws to second base. Also pitched, worked exclusively out of the stretch, carries hands high at start, leg lift up above the belt and shows balance over the rubber, tends to land closed coming down the mound. Worked exclusively off of fastball in this look, topped out at 65 mph, can get more from utilizing lower half. Right-handed hitter, begins with a medium and even base and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Shows quickness to hands and gets the barrel extended out front, comfort working to the middle and pull side parts of the field. Consistent swing mechanics, ball comes off well and has nice offensive tools to build off of moving forward.
