Heston Tole is a 2020 1B/RHP, OF with a 6-5 205 lb. frame from Bowie, TX who attends IMG Academy. Extra-large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present strength proportioned well throughout. Ran a 6.83 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, fields the ball out front and shows skill at the ball, softness to hands, shows nice footwork on the turn and bounces off the bag well, short and compact arm stroke on throws and does a nice job of getting on top of the ball, shows arm strength and carry across the diamond. Also pitched, side step into a high leg raise at start of delivery, works with a similar compact arm action through the back and utilizes a high three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 86 mph, mostly straight in life; pitched to contact and mixed a changeup at 78 mph that shows sink and a short, cutting slider also up to 78 mph. Righthanded hitter, loads weight onto back side at start of swing and shows an easy, low effort trigger moving into contact. Looks to hit the ball out front and generates extension at point of contact, projects with additional weight shift through lower half. Stays inside the ball and shows quickness to hands, simple swing and repeats mechanics. Excellent student. Verbal commitment to Arkansas.
