2017 South Top Prospect Showcase
Chandler Arnold is a 2018 RHP/3B/SS with a 6-2 161 lb. frame from Mesquite, TX who attends Horn HS. Large frame with long limbs and a lean build. Frame projects to support additional size with strength. Primary right handed pitcher with a smooth paced rock step to high leg lift delivery. Stays tall on back side and creates coil over back leg at gather. Hides baseball well at take back and released form a high three-quarters arm slot. Fastball jumped out of hand very well producing heavy sink with run to arm side in the mid 80's, topped at 87 miles per hour. Maintained arm speed with a curveball offering that had 11/5 shape with tight spin and sharp, late depth. Present command of both fastball and curveball and effectively located to each edge of the plate throughout each inning of work. Consistently over matched hitters and induced many swings and misses. Frame and arm actions projects for additional velocity with continue maturity. Good student. Named to the 2017 South Top Prospect Showcase, Top Prospect List.
