Hunter Elliott is a 2021 LHP/1B with a 6-3 205 lb. frame from Tupelo, MS who attends Tupelo. Strong athletic body with room to get even stronger. Slow to fast delivery tempo with a simple turn start, long and extended arm action in back coming to an extended 3/4's release slot, creates big angle to his pitches when working glove side. Upper 80's fastball, topped out at 90 mph early, gets some sink and dive low in the zone. Change up is his favored secondary pitch, bit lower release slot but sells it well with good arm speed and some fading action. Breaking ball is a big sweeping soft slider with good angle. 7.22 runner in the sixty. Left handed hitter who hits from a static start, has loose hands and creates some torque and power in his swing. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Mississippi.
