Blade Tidwell is a 2020 RHP/3B with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Loretto, TN who attends Loretto. Nice projectable athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. Multi-piece arm action with an inconsistent arm slot, best stuff and command at the higher slots, arm is fast coming through and loose out front. Very steady 89-91 mph fastball velocity, topped out at 92 mph, has nice run and sink from the higher slots, tends to flatten out and find barrels when released lower. Curveball shows good power and bite when on top of it, tends to take more of a soft sweeping slider shape when he's on the side of it. Good athlete with solid present stuff, will keep improving with consistency in his release point. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Tennessee.
