2017 National Underclass East Showcase
Nicholas Lomonaco is a 2019 SS/OF with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Shirley, NY who attends William Floyd HS. Young, athletic frame with slender present build; good room to fill out remaining. Ran 60 yard dash in 6.94 seconds. Sets up to hit from open-based stance with very low hand set, gets on line drive swing plane with quick hands and barrel, shows good approach to work back through the middle on a line, did a very good job showing the ability to work to all fields when necessary. Worked out defensively in two spots. Fields cleanly out front in the IF with two hands and clean funnel, shows good footwork through fielding, transfers quickly and gets off quick release, clocked up to 73 MPH across. Showed good athleticism in the OF as well, energetic actions, quick feet to and through the ball with good momentum, showed solid arm strength with throws clocked up to 77 MPH. Good student.
