Brenner Cox is a 2022 OF/RHP with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Prosper, TX who attends Prosper - Rock Hill. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 6.60 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, smooth and easy actions on the approach, full arm action through the back, generates whip to arm action and ball jumps out of hand cleanly with solid arm strength and carry, shows sound footwork with actions and repeats well. Also pitched, side step moving into a leg lift up to belt, clean and loose arm action through the back working to a high three-quarters release point. Similar whip to arm with easy arm speed and low effort release, fastball topped out at 93 mph, showed life down in the zone; worked heavily off of fastball but flashed a rare changeup at 87 mph. Left-handed hitter, begins with a wide and slightly open stance and a high hand set. Hand load at start of swing, stays short to the ball, relatively low effort swing through the zone. Creates line drive contact off of the barrel, comfort working to the middle and pull side parts of the field; tools to follow on both sides of the ball. Very good student. Verbal commitment to Texas.
