Braison Bourne is a 2020 SS/RHP,/OF with a 5-10 125 lb. frame from Lexington, SC who attends Lexington High School. Incredibly young player, medium frame, lean, slender build, athleticism, and room to continue to fill out physically and add strength. Posted a 7.65 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary middle infielder, stayed low through the ball, longer arm action, and showed accuracy across he diamond. At the plate, started with a spread stance, and utilized a quick toe tap timing mechanism. Swing primarily worked through upper half with a linear swing plane. Used a middle of the field approach hitting off his front side. Needs to continue to incorporate his lower half into swing and will improve with additional strength. Also pitched, used a shorter arm action, arm showed quickness through release, and threw from a three quarter arm slot. Fastball showed short sink at 67-72 mph with arm side life. Also showed a 11/5 shaped curveball with depth and developing feel to spin. Showed potential on the mound with mechanical adjustments including incorporating additional lower half drive to the plate.
