Mason Kirk is a 2023 SS/C with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from China Spring, TX who attends China Spring. Compact frame with a slender build and room to add through maturity. Ran a 7.42 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary shortstop. Fields out in front with quickness in hands. Smooth transitions into a quick trigger. Accurate to the bag with developing carry topping out at 75 MPH. Also worked out as a secondary catcher. Sets up in a low and even stance. Gains ground out of the stance and towards the bag. Longer strides into transitions. Throws topping out at 71 MPH and popping a 2.25 during workouts. Righthanded hitter with a spread and even stance. Utilizes a leg lift trigger with a deep hand load. Long path into contact with some bat speed for age. Good student as well.
