Zach Wager is a 2022 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from Columbus, IN who attends Columbus North. Lean young build with lots of room to get stronger. Works from the stretch with a long and loose arm circle in back leading to a high 3/4's arm slot, high leg raise, stays on line well and gets downhill with his pitches. Curveball was his best pitch this outing and he was effective working backwards with it, gets good tilt and late biting action while throwing it for strikes and getting frequent swing/miss from hitters. Located a fastball up to 81 mph well within the zone with some arm side run. Has some young polish and the ability to pitch and will keep improving in proportion to how much stronger he becomes. 7.83 runner in the sixty. Has smooth actions in the outfield and showed his athleticism well. Right handed hitter, pre-stride approach with a simple contact oriented swing. Very good student.
